Tegalalang Rice Field

When we want to explore more at north side of ubud there will be a beautiful view waiting for you, this place we call tegalalang rice field. This rice terrace is located on north of ubud, in specific is on Tegalalang village. This rice terrace is over you panoramic view with rice terrace, this place is really easy to access, we need to park our car at the parking lot and walk down to the rice field by the street.

Thank you for the irrigation system, that makes this rice terrace so popular, it looks really green when it is in the middle of the season. We can do a short tracking dow and up to the rice terrace.

The answer is yes it is, instead of seeing this rice field you can visit a swing adventure and coffee plantation, it is located 50 meters before the rice field.

There is one place, it is about 1 kilometer west from the center the name of the place is camphuan ridge walk, this place become so famous when a lot of local spend the time with their couple especially young people, the local people call this place “Bukit camphuan” and this place is really good as a jogging track in the morning or afternoon time.

This place describe how ubud is, with the nature view, beside of shops and restaurants on Ubud center. When you travel to this place for sight seeing, while on tour you can enjoy some good restaurant close by this area with the rice field view.

When we start talking about ubud, there are so many thing we can talk about, from the culture, nature, village, art and even forest. And let’s talk about forest, there is a natural forest located in the heart of Ubud we call this monkey forest, but this forest is not like Central Park in New York.

The original name of this forest is Mandala Suci Wnara Wana and well known as monkey forest. It is located at Padang Tegal Ubud village, there are around 749 monkeys live aroun this sanctuary. They are divided into 6 groups, namely in front of main temple group, forest conservation group, central point group, eastern group, Michelin group, and cemeteries group. The Monkey Forest Ubud has 186 species of the plan and tree in 12,5 hectares of the forest. The Monkey Forest Ubud has 3 temples inside namely Dalem Agung Padangtegal Temple, Holy Spring Temple and Prajapati Temple. The owner of this place is Padangtegal community and managed by Mandala Suci Wenara Wana Management. The purpose of the management is to keep the sacred of the place and promote the Monkey Forest Ubud will be featured of international tourist destination.

The New Beaches In The South “Pandawa And Melasti Beach”

Bali is one of the place that really famous with beach, but still some of the beautiful beach is hard to reach, because no proper access. As time goes by we have a lot of investor making a cooperation with the local government and they open the access To go to Pandawa beach and Melasti beach. This place become famous and getting more visitor.

Pandawa beach is located in kutuh village, south kuta district, Badung regency around 3 km from Nusadua area and uluwatu temple. After we drive and pass the entrance, we will see two cliff on the right and left, before that cliff was blocking the access to the beach, now you can drive your car until the parking area, and before you go down to the parking lot you can enjoy the panoramic beach view with the white send beach from the top, and if you come on sunset time there will be a kecak show close to the car park. This beach is very close with Green Bowl beach, and Melasti beach.

Melasti beach located at ungasan area, this beach has good access since the government develop the area almost the same time with Pandawa beach become a touristic area, but “Melasti” mean a Hindu Balinese purification ceremony and ritual, which according to Balinese calendar is held several days prior to the Nyepi holy day. It is observed by Hindus in Indonesia, especially in Bali. And thia beach become place to do that ceremony.

This place is overing you amazing panoramic view, and you can see the beautiful indian ocean from the top. You can see 3 different beach because it is close in between.

The Beach After The cliff “Balangan Beach”

This beach has a good memory for me, i did my pre-wedding photograp on this beach. It is not only me, a lot of people love to take the pictures for magazines, or business advertisement. Balangan beach located at Pecatu area, it takes 40 minutes to 50 minutes from seminyak to rich this area. Balangan beach is one of the most popular and beautiful, featuring a gorgeous 500 meters strach of golden sand bordered between limestone cliff and a reef with one of the longest breaks on the island.

Getting there is effortless, thank’s for the sign around this area so make it easier for people to find this place. To go from the parking area you just need to go down with the stair, but before you go down you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic ocean view from the top of the cliff.

This place overing a beautiful sunset and nice wave for surfing, and you can enjoy the beach with renting a deck chair for relaxing or may be just for sight seeing and taking a picture.

How Beautiful Is Munduk Waterfall

Waterfall is one of a natural grace from the universe. It also can release your stress, and giving you a nice mode. When we talk about water fall, there is an interesting waterfall which is located on north side of Bali, the name of the waterfall is munduk waterfall, the position of the waterfall is right in the midle of munduk village, before you reach the waterfall you will pass Wanagiri hiden hill and some lake on that area. This waterfall is easy to access, but still you have to walk not too far, when you walk to this waterfall you will pass some shop, where the local people over you to have some coffee or may be to by some dry herbs and spices, this water fall is quite high, the falls is strong but not so big like in Nungngung waterfall.

Is this waterfall worth to be in your bucket list?

This waterfall is interesting to see, this is one of the easy to access, you don’t need to go deep down like most of waterfall in Bali. Besides of that, if you traveling to the north area you can explore more because there are so many beautiful place on that area.

Beautiful sunset on Padang-padang Beach

Padnag-padang beach is located on the south area of Bali it takes around 50 minuts to go to this beach from seminyak, this beach has well known after holywood film producer used this place as the back ground of their film with famous star Ms Julia Robert for Eat Pray and Love in 2010. The counters of the beach with cliff and many standing rocks white sandy beach and open views to Indian ocean. The name padang-padang is probably due to the grass growing along the area on the land where no big trees can grow in the area, so the view was grass all over the area. The sunset on this beach is very beautiful and somtime the waves is good for surfing.

This beach is absolutely beautiful, nice sand, gorgeous views. this beach is one of my favorite beach on the south of bali, but you have to becarefull with the monkey, most of them stay close at the entrance, but on the beach is no problem, to eter the beach you will pass a small cave down and you will see the beach.

The Icon Of Bali Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah lot temple is one of the wanted destination in bali, this temple become the icon of Bali’s island, and very famous for photography.

Tanah lot mean “land in the sea” in Balinese language. The temple is located in Tabanan regancy, about 20 kilometres from Denpasar, position of the temple sits on large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide.
Tanah Lot is claimed to be the work of the 16th-century Dang Hyang Nirartha. During his travels along the south coast he saw the rock-island’s beautiful setting and rested there. Some fishermen saw him, and bought him gifts. Nirartha then spent the night on the little island. Later he spoke to the fishermen and told them to build a shrine on the rock, for he felt it to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods. The main deity of the temple is Dewa Baruna or Bhatara Segara, who is the sea god or sea power and these days, Nirartha is also worshipped here.

This temple is very nice to be a photography and memory about your vacation in bali, the rock is very unique and different than other temple, if you come on sunset time you will catch a perfect picture for photograph.

Hiden Of Luhur Batukaru Temple

Luhur Batukaru Temple is located on district of penebel and the position of the temple on southern slope of mount batukaru, bali’s nine kayangan jagat (directional temples) mean to protect Bali from evil spirit or giving a holy energy for Bali island.

This temple originally built during 11th century, pura luhur batukaru was dedicated to ancestors of the rajas of Tabanan. It was destroyed in 1604, but rebuit in 1959. The temple’s most important shrine is a 7-tiered meru dedicated to Mahadewa, the God of Mount Batukaru.

Is this temple worth to be in your bucket list?

This temple is remains an extremely sacred site for Bali’s Hindu population. But base on my experience we still can visit this temple, the temple is really peaceful, and giving us good feeling because around this area is still nature and green, you even can see really clearly the mount Batukaru from the south to the north side.
